CLASS DESCRIPTIONS


CARDIO

3:1 - Work your heart for 3-5 minutes, then strengthen your muscles with 1-3 minute intervals. Get it all done in one class. Cardio component is up to the instructor & the class.

30/30 Cardio - Two 30 minutes segments of cardio, using two different formats, will give you a great and varied workout. You may do step, kickboxing, bosu, C2, drills, or something new & different!

Beginner Friendly Step
- Come learn the basics in this class geared towards those new exercise or to the step.

Beginner Friendly Triple Threat
- 3 20 minute segments--2 cardio and 1 sculpting. This one is good for the newbies!

Blitz - This is an intense class that involves plyometric exercises (jumping, power, using your “springs”). Lots of impact, lots of work. Intervals of rest are incorporated to get you ready for the next one! This class is not recommended for the novice exerciser and those with orthopedic involvements are cautioned to modify as necessary.

Bosu
- Bosu stands for “both sides up”—it’s a half ball on a platform and we do balance, muscle and cardio work on it.

Bosu Sculpt
- A whole class of sculpting using the Bosu.

Burn - This is an advanced, fast-paced sculpting class that accommodates all fitness levels. Take the direct approach to muscular definition, strength, and endurance. Lots of moves. Lots of reps. Lots of fun.

C2
- High intensity cardio class that jumps from one exercise to another—no time to get bored! This is not a beginner class.

Cardio Intervals
- Short attention span? You’ll alternate intense & recovery periods of cardio in this class for maximum calorie burn & an increase in your cardiovascular endurance.

Cardio Sculpt
- You’re at your instructor’s mercy because the exact format of the cardio is his or her choice, but you’ll also do some strength/endurance work using dumbbells, tubing, and/or callisthenic (body weight) exercises.

Circuit Training - Total body workout plus cardio at different exercise stations. As hard as you want it to be!

Energy Zones
- Each workout has a different focus—endurance, strength, heart rate, or recovery. Your best benefit is in attending regularly to experience all the workouts.

Express Cardio - Join us for a quick 25 minutes of cardio and get it done!

Hot Cardio Salsa - Hi/Lo dance with a latin flair!

Knockout
- Kickboxing drills and choreography for an intense cardio workout.

Knockout Gear Up
- Equipment such as jump ropes or punching bags is incorporated into the class; Less choreographed.

Lo Impact - Floor aerobics are back with this fun class that utilizes dancy moves to get you moving!

Rock Bottom - Get ready to blast your leg, glute, ab, & low back muscles with this short but strong conditioning class.

Run Camp 101
- Let’s see….run, run, jog, run drill, run, run, run, run! If you like to run, this class is for you.

Sculpt
- Full body muscular strength & endurance workout using dumbbells, calisthenics & more.

Sports Camp
- Run, jump, shuffle, carioca, stop, start, WORK….Think sports practice!

Step - We use Reebok's classic apparatus--it's timeless!--to do a choreographed workout. You have to learn the "language", but you'll have fun!

Step Choreography
- You should be experienced and comfortable with step terminology to attend this class.

Step Max
- Step & Max Muscle segments combined into one class.

Step Pump
- Step choreography with regular 1-minute intervals of intense drill work on the step.

Step Sculpt
- Step choreography & drill work combined with muscle conditioning for a tough all-around workout.

Step~n~Groove
- Combines traditional Step with a splash of dance. So you think you can dance? Bring it on over to our

Triple Threat - If you like variety, this is for you! Class consists of 2 cardio segments (could be core board, step, step drills, hi/lo, knockout, drills or something new!) & a third of sculpting.

Turbo Kick
- High energy kickboxing workout in easy to learn, dance type combinations. It's impossible not to have fun with this!




CYCLING

Beginner Friendly Cycling - Geared towards new folks, but a great workout for everyone. Optional cool-down after 30 minutes for those who want to start smaller.

Beginner Friendly Spin Cycle
- Geared towards new folks, but a great workout for everyone. Optional cool-down after 30 minutes for those who want to start smaller.

Cycle LBC - Total lower body workout! Cycle Lower Body Circuit pairs short cycle drills with lower body strength exercises off of the bike. Participants are recommended to NOT wear shoes that clip in.

Cycle/Burn
- Total body workout with 30 minutes of cycling and 30 minutes of high rep muscle sculpting (aka BURN!)

Extended Ride - We take our regular group cycling workout...and keep you longer! This 60 minute ride will test your endurance!

Grit-n-Guts Ride - 90 minutes of cycling will show you if you've got it!

Road Rage - Our highest intensity cycling workout…not for the faint of heart or leg power!

Spin Cycle - Stationary cycling at its best. Legs, heart, & mind get a challenge as we pedal the miles (and hills!)

Spin Cycle & Abs
- Stationary cycling at its best. Legs, heart, & mind get a challenge as we pedal the miles (and hills!) Includes 15 minutes of ab work at the end.

Spin Cycle--Extended Ride
- Stationary cycling at its best--60 minute workout.

Surge - Cycling class structured in increasing intervals of work with short bouts of recovery.



MIND, BODY & FLEXIBILITY

Awareness (Kundalini) Yoga - Uses breath with sound vibration, body postures, and meditation to enhance, repair, and rejuvenate you inside and out. Get in touch with your authentic self.

Beginner Friendly Yoga - Ease yourself into the mind body connection with this class geared toward newbies!

Beginner Yoga
- Let us teach you the basics of this time-honored workout. "Poses" are moved into and held to increase blood flow and flexibility.

Hatha Yoga - Stretch & move your way to better health with our classic fitness yoga class

Intermediate Yoga - Stretch & move your way to better health with our classic fitness yoga class. This class is for experienced Yoga practicers...no beginners, please!

Iyengar Yoga
- Emphasis on detail, precision and alignment in the learning of the yoga asanas.

Pilates Style - Work on your balance, strength, & core control with this amazing class. You’ll have to take it to believe! Please take at least 5 regular classes before you attend the Intermediate class.

PiYo
- Best of both worlds—yoga & pilates moves combined for a very satisfying workout.

Power Yoga - Moves through the poses fast. Not for beginners. Intermediate Yoga is for those who has been participating for a while.

Stretch - 45 minutes of full-body flexibility work….it’s time to work on the third area of fitness.

Sun Salutations - A 30 minute workout, appropriate for those new to yoga.

Yoga - Stretch & move your way to better health with our classic fitness yoga class.

Yoga Core
- This yoga class concentrates on the poses that work your core muscles--hips, gluts, abs & low back.



MUSCULAR STRENGTH & ENDURANCE

Abs Fab - Thirty minutes of core muscle work-concentrating on strengthening the abdominal, lower back muscles.

Ballistic Sculpt - A whole class using those awesome, versatile Fit Balls for total body muscle work.

Guns & Core - Thirty minutes of abs, low back, upper torso, & arm exercises to sculpt you for warm weather clothes.

Hard Core Abs - Get ready to work your abdominal muscles like you know you should. Stand, sit, crunch, & stretch yourself closer to that tight middle you dream of! Not for beginners or the faint of muscle.

Max Muscle - Want that muscle pump? Then try this barbell weights class consisting of 4-minute work segments for each major muscle group. We recommend a short cardiovascular warm-up before you attend class.


WATER

Aqua Cardio Stretch - This is a cardio class with an extensive stretching section. Perfect for seniors.

Fitness Swim - Swim for fitness! You haven’t been through a workout until you've tried it in the water! This is a cardiovascular workout incorporating lap swimming, drills, and endurance to strengthen, tone, and define.

Water Works - Work your cardiovascular system & muscles with a powerful water aerobics workout. Great for a lower impact workout.

Water Works Plus
- Work your cardiovascular system & muscles with a powerful water aerobics workout. Great for a lower impact workout. Plus is more strenuous than regular Water Works and involves more deep water work.



SPECIALTY

Bhangra - A traditional folk dance practiced by the people of India and all over the world. We take the basic moves of the traditional folk dance of the Punjab and incorporate the scientific understandings of physical exercise to create a high-energy, easy-to-follow, cardio class.

Belly Dancing
- Admit it! You always wanted to learn how to do it! Tone your middle like nothing else can.

Hip Hop Choreography - Love to dance & learn new moves? Try this workout—having fun, learning different combinations, and MOVING!

Kids Water Circuit - Come join us in the pool for a great kids workout!

Kidz Circuit
- Get your kids moving! The kids will be checked out of Kidz Kare to participate.

Kidz Circuit--3 to 6 year olds
- Get your little guys moving with a class for those short attention spans!

Kidz Circuit--7 to 12 year olds
- This kids class has a little more direction, but basically just leads the kids through a fun, varied "playtime" that burns calories!

Kidz Yoga
- Get your 7-12 year olds active at the Rush! This fun class consists of running, jumping, and exercise that feels like play. Circuit has different stations keep your kids moving. Parents are welcome to come and exercise with the kids!

Moderate Sculpt - Our senior friendly toning class

PDR - Personal Defense Readiness--this series prepares you to defend yourself in unsafe situations
